Meditation
See Events for the Meditation Schedule
The
meditations are planned to help everyone
find the quiet, relaxation of their mind
and body. The goal of each
mediation is to connect to our peace and
happiness and identify and release the
obstacles that bring us pain and
suffering.
We use methodology from Indian and
Buddhist traditions including Tibetan,
Zen, Taoist, as well as others. This
includes Himalayan Bowls and music,
mantras (chants) to focus the attention
and help center the mind, and
visualizations to focus attention. We
also discuss the nature of self and mind
and methods to assist ourselves in daily
life.
Come dressed in comfortable clothing.
You may sit in any position or lie down
as needed. These meditation sessions
help develop the techniques for practice
at home. |
