MEDITATION SKILLS CLASS
with Mark Hambleton |
 |
|
Develop
your effective skills to release mental
and physical stress, bring quiet and
balance, and focus attention on positive
and desired outcomes.
The scientifically documented results of
meditation include increased health,
mental functioning, and higher energy to
name a few. Not to mention an increased
sense of quality of life.
The objective of each class is to learn
simple practices to experience peace and
happiness, and identify and release
obstacles that bring us pain and
suffering. We will include the
intention, method, and actual practice
in our sessions.
Learn methods from many traditions to
center the mind and focus attention.
Primary attention is placed on
developing skills which pragmatically
assist us in daily life and can be
simply used for self practice at home.
Come
dressed in comfortable clothing. No
prior experience required.
Sessions are led by Mark Hambleton
who has been practicing meditation,
yoga, and other healing and
spiritual disciplines for
over 25 years. He has been a student
and practitioner of many eastern and
western philosophic, spiritual, and
healing
techniques drawing on buddhist,
ayurvedic, native american, sufi,
zen, and native shamanic traditions
among others. This
includes hands-on healing, belief
system modification, reiki, energy
work, herbology, and fasting.
Mark
uses real experiences
in business, child and animal
raising, gardening, and technology
to convey practices. Mark is a
Sanga member of the Tibetan
Meditation Center in Frederick,
